On May 21, 2026, the International Tea Day, a grand event themed
"Promoting Green Tea Culture and Sharing Healthy Life"
was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, with Zhejiang Longjing tea making a stunning appearance and becoming the focus of the event. The event was co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, aiming to promote the global spread of tea culture and the sustainable development of the tea industry.
During the event, renowned Chinese tea artists demonstrated the traditional manual production techniques of Longjing tea, including fixing, rolling, and drying, showcasing the unique charm of Chinese tea craftsmanship.
Guests from more than 50 countries and regions tasted Longjing tea, experienced Chinese tea art performances, and exchanged views on tea culture and tea industry development.
