Brief Report On China's Tea Import And Export in May 2026

According to data from China Customs:

 

In May 2026, China's tea exports totaled 29,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.32% and a month-on-month decrease of 12.73%;

 

the export value was US$113 million, a year-on-year decrease of 9.04% and a month-on-month decrease of 13.49%;

 

the average export price was US$3.84 per kilogram, a year-on-year increase of 6.17% and a month-on-month decrease of 0.87%.

 

From January to May 2026, China's total tea exports reached 163,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.01%;

 

the total export value was US$629 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.19%;

 

the average export price was US$3.85 per kilogram, a year-on-year increase of 9.49%.
