As one of the most significant cultural festivals in China, the Chinese Lunar New Year (commonly known as Spring Festival) is a time of family reunion, tradition, and celebration deeply rooted in thousands of years of history. In 2026, we will welcome the Year of the Horse, with the Spring Festival falling on February 17 (the first day of the first lunar month) . In accordance with the official holiday arrangement issued by the State Council of the People's Republic of China and the traditional customs of the Spring Festival, our factory will suspend production for a holiday to allow all employees to celebrate this important festival with their families. We hereby provide detailed information to help our valued international partners and customers plan accordingly.

The Cultural Significance of Spring Festival

To better understand this holiday, it is essential to recognize its profound cultural meaning for Chinese people. Spring Festival is more than just a vacation; it is a spiritual anchor that emphasizes family unity, gratitude, and new beginnings. Originating from ancient sacrificial rituals for praying for a prosperous year, this festival has evolved into a nationwide celebration that transcends regions and ethnic groups . For centuries, Chinese people have traveled thousands of miles to return home, regardless of distance, to gather with family members for the "Reunion Dinner" on New Year's Eve. This dinner, filled with symbolic dishes representing good fortune and abundance, is the centerpiece of the celebration. Other traditions include exchanging red envelopes (containing lucky money), pasting Spring Festival couplets, watching lion and dragon dances, and visiting relatives to send blessings-all of which reflect the values of harmony, respect, and hope cherished by Chinese culture .

In 2025, "Spring Festival – the Social Practice of Celebrating the Traditional New Year in China" was officially inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, recognizing it as a shared treasure of human civilization . Today, this festival is celebrated not only by Chinese communities worldwide but also embraced by people in nearly 200 countries and regions, with almost 20 nations designating it as an official holiday . It serves as a bridge for cultural exchange, conveying universal values of peace, family, and joy across borders .

2026 Spring Festival Factory Holiday Schedule

Based on the State Council's official notice, the 2026 Spring Festival holiday will run from February 15 to February 23, 2026, totaling 9 days, with work resuming on February 24, 2026 (China Standard Time) . This schedule aligns with the national legal holiday arrangement, which includes four mandatory days (New Year's Eve and the first three days of the lunar new year) plus adjusted working days .

For manufacturing enterprises like ours, this holiday period is consistent with industry practices. Many factories in China extend the holiday appropriately around the legal schedule to accommodate employees' long-distance travel plans, as most workers return to their hometowns, often in different provinces, to celebrate with their families . During this period, all production lines, warehouse operations, and shipping services will be temporarily suspended to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff.

Important Arrangements for Business Cooperation

To minimize any impact on our cooperation, we have made the following arrangements to ensure a smooth transition before and after the holiday:

1. Order Confirmation Deadline: For urgent orders requiring delivery before the holiday, the final confirmation date is February 6, 2026. Orders received after this date may be scheduled for production and shipment after we resume operations, as our production team will need sufficient time to complete pre-holiday preparations and quality inspections.

2. Post-Holiday Resumption Plan: Upon returning to work on February 24, our team will prioritize processing pending orders and inquiries in the order they were received. Please allow 2-3 working days for our production and logistics systems to fully resume normal capacity. We appreciate your patience as we work to fulfill all orders efficiently.

3. Emergency Contact: For critical matters requiring immediate attention during the holiday period, please contact our designated emergency service team via email.

4. Global Festival Harmony: We note that Spring Festival is also celebrated in many other countries and regions, such as Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and Mauritius, with local customs and holiday schedules . We respect these cultural variations and will coordinate closely with our international partners to ensure seamless cooperation across different holiday periods.
