Food safety is the bottom line of the tea industry. China has formulated strict standards covering the whole industry chain (planting, processing, sales) to ensure consumer safety.
1. Planting link: Implement standards ("Pollution-free Food - Tea", "Green Food - Tea", "Organic Product - Tea"). Prohibit highly toxic/high-residue pesticides; ensure no pollution sources around tea gardens.
2. Processing link: Implement standards ("Tea Processing Technical Specifications", "National Food Safety Standard - General Hygienic Specifications for Food Production"). Require complete production facilities, standardized techniques, temperature/humidity control, and health certificates for workers.
3. Quality testing link: Implement "National Food Safety Standard - Tea". Strictly test pesticide residues, heavy metals, microorganisms (meet national limits).
4. Sales link: Clear labeling (product name, origin, production date, shelf life, standard, production license number); prohibit counterfeit, shoddy, expired tea.
In addition, market supervision departments conduct regular inspections, crack down on illegal acts, and promote standardized development.
