Since 2026, the European Commission has continuously revised the maximum residue limits for multiple pesticides in tea and further strengthened border inspections for Chinese tea exports to Europe.At the same time, the EU has further strengthened border supervision of Chinese tea exports to Europe. Currently, 20% of export batches are subject to document verification, identity verification, and pesticide residue testing. It is recommended that export enterprises closely monitor regulatory changes, strictly carry out quality control and pesticide residue self inspection in accordance with the standards of the importing country, ensure product compliance, and reduce export risks.
