According to the latest customs statistics, from January to December 2021, China's tea exports totaled 369,400 tons, 20,500 tons more than the whole of 2020, up 5.89 percent year on year, hitting a historic high.
From January to December of 2021, China's tea exports totaled 2.299 billion US dollars, an increase of 261 million US dollars compared with 2020, with a year-on-year growth of 12.82%, and the export volume hit a historic high.Continuing the growth trend since 2013, the annual compound growth rate reached 7.95%.
From January to December 2021, the average price of China's tea export is 6.23 USD/kg, up 0.38 USD/kg year-on-year, or 6.55%, hitting a record high.Since 2013, the average export price of tea has continued to grow, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.63%, breaking through four us dollars/kg, five US dollars/kg and six US dollars/kg successively, and the added value of tea export has continued to improve.
Let's look at the tea.In 2021, China's green tea exports reached 312,300 tons, accounting for 84.5% of the total exports, up 18,900 tons or 6.4%;The export volume of black tea was 29,600 tons, accounting for 8.0% of the total export volume, an increase of 788 tons or 2.7%;The export volume of Oolong tea was 19,100 tons, accounting for 5.2% of the total export volume, with an increase of 2,202 tons or 13%.The export volume of scented tea was 5,835 tons, accounting for 1.6% of the total export volume, decreasing by 295 tons or 4.8%.The export volume of Pu 'er tea was 2176 tons, accounting for 0.6% of the total export volume, decreasing by 1369 tons or 38.6%.

According to China customs data, in December 2021, China's tea exports were 32,400 tons, up 3.24% year on year, and exports were 203 million US dollars, up 27.76% year on year. The average export price in December was 6.24 US dollars/kg, down 3.19% compared with the same period last year.
