Ministry of Commerce : China-Africa Trade Benefits Both Countries

The Ministry of Commerce introduced at a press conference today (13th) that China-Africa trade is mutually beneficial and complementary, providing strong support for the economic and social development of both countries and bringing benefits to the people of China and Africa.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce, since 2000, China has imported 1.42trillionfromAfricaandexported1.58 trillion to Africa in the past 23 years. In 2022, China-Africa trade reached 282billion,a11.1164.5 billion, a 11.2% increase, and China's imports from Africa were $117.5 billion, a 11% increase.
The level of trade facilitation between China and Africa has further improved. China has established trade smoothing working groups with relevant countries in Africa to address issues that arise in bilateral trade. 98% of goods imported from the least developed countries in Africa to China are subject to zero-tariff treatment, and "green channels" have been established for African agricultural products to enter China. Cooperation has been carried out with African parties in areas such as standards, quality inspection, and mutual recognition to accelerate the market access process for African products and help African agricultural products and food enter the Chinese market better.
