Warehouse Moisture-Proof Performance and Suitability for Ocean Transport

Industry standards require the moisture content of green tea destined for export to be kept below 7%; when stored in sealed, low-temperature environments, the product has a shelf life of up to 18 months. There is a marked difference in storage stability between the two types: Gunpowder tea features tightly rolled granules with minimal internal air gaps, offering strong resistance to moisture ingress-making it resilient against dampness and spoilage during months of ocean transport. In contrast, Chunmee tea consists of loose, airy strips with significant gaps, making it more prone to absorbing moisture and losing aroma during long-distance shipping; consequently, double-layer packaging-incorporating a vacuum-sealed inner bag-is frequently used for such export orders.
