Gunpowder tea, also known as Green Pearl and Round Tea, is characterized by its thin, round, tight, and dense leaves, uniform size, dark and smooth color, high purity aroma, rich and mellow taste, and bright yellow-green liquor. It is a unique traditional tea in Zhejiang. Over a thousand years ago, Shaoxing Sheng County was surrounded by mountains, with dense peaks, rolling hills, lingering clouds, and criss-crossing streams. The climate was mild, making it suitable for tea production. Gunpowder tea is one of the earliest exported commodities in China. In the 18th century, Zhu Cha became popular in the world tea community as "Gongxi Cha" and was sold at a high price. The price of tea was as high as that of jewelry, and it was once known as "Green Pearl".
