Classification of Refined Specialty Varieties and Processing Workflow

The refined grade systems for the two types of tea are distinct. "Mei" (Chunmee) tea is categorized into five grades-Te Zhen, Zhen Mei, Yu Cha, Xiu Mei, and Cha Pian-while "Zhu" (Gunpowder) tea is classified into four categories: Gong Xi, Zheng Zhu, Sui Zhu, and Cha Mo. All finished teas destined for export must undergo five standardized refining steps-sieving, winnowing, electrostatic sorting, manual picking, and standardized blending-to remove yellow flakes, coarse stems, and debris, ensuring the flavor and appearance meet export standards.
