On the tea color spectrum, Chinese green tea is on the lighter end-darker than white and yellow teas, with colors ranging from pale yellow to light green. They are generally lighter and creamier than Japanese green tea.

As delicious as they are, these teas are still strong. They have a sweet taste similar to white tea. If you examine the leaves after brewing, you will find that they usually consist of two leaves and a bud. The buds help sweeten the tea, but the sweetness also comes from the way the leaves are dried during the early stages of processing. In China, pans, woks, and ovens are commonly used to brew green tea, which imparts its roasted sweetness.

Generally speaking, Chinese green vegetables have a distinctly mellow, vegetal flavor, often resembling cooked, grilled, or grilled vegetables. Floral, nutty, and chocolatey flavors are also common, and sometimes the tea can even be described as earthy.
